City hosts national Futsal Championship from 13 May -3 June
The 2018 National Futsal Championship opened at Da Nang’s Tien Son Sports Arena on Monday afternoon.
Co-organised by the Radio the Voice of Viet Nam and the Viet Nam Football Federation, this year’s event has 10 futsal teams participating. Six of them are top 6 finishers in the 2017 National Futsal Championship, namely Thai Son Nam, Sanatech-Sanest Khanh Hoa, Hai Phuong Nam-Gia Dinh University, Sanna Khanh Hoa, Sai Gon FC, and Thai Son Bac. The others are Cao Bang, Tan Hiep Hung, Hoang Thu Da Nang, and Kim Toan Da Nang. They will compete in a round-robin format.
The first leg of the 2018 National Futsal Championship is taking place at the Tien Son Sports Arena from 13 May - 3 June. The second leg will be held at the Lanh Binh Thang Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City between 7 and 29 September.
Top 6 teams in the rankings in this year’s tournament will advance to the 2nd stage of the 2019 National Futsal Championship. Other teams will have to compete in the qualifying rounds of the championship.
