Amazing arts show highlights mix of cultural colours at DIFF 2018

On Saturday night, apart from admiring wonderful fireworks displays by the Italian and Hong Kong teams, the spectators were treated to an array of highly impressive arts performances on the 3rd night, themed ‘Happiness’, as part of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2018.

The DIFF stage was enlivened with a breathtaking light spectacle featuring the wonderful collaboration of ground elements with sky elements in a bid to transform the Da Nang skyline into an outdoor audiovisual feast.

The  night’s arts show started with an exciting mashup that combined the song ‘Ve The Gioi’ (Draw the World) and the hit ‘Happy’, performed by star Trong Hieu with the support of the dance groups of Hoang Thong and Mai Trang.

In particular, the image of Italy filled with romantic feelings was vividly reflected through the globally known Neapolitan song of ‘O sole mio’, which was professionally performed by Meritorious Artiste Dang Duong, with the support of a dance group from Ukraine.

Moreover, accompanied by the bustling melodies of the world-renowned song ‘Despacito’, Youth Union members from the city-based Duy Tan University brought bustling moments to the night with a flashmob performance full of energy and passion.

Shortly thereafter, the “Bong bong bang bang” featuring a harmonious combination between the traditional and modern elements, performed by young artistes from the Truong Vuong Theatre’s arts troupe, also impressed the spectators.

The stage of the night was then furthered awakened with other vibrant and peculiar arts performances joined by a large number of domestic famous singers and dancers.

To welcome the fireworks display by the Hong Kong team, Meritorious Artiste Thuy Chi, accompanied by other professional dancers, performed a well-choreographed folk dance ‘Red Lanterns’, which was deeply imbued the cultural colour of busy, bustling yet traditionally affluent Hong Kong.

Through this amazing performance, the spectators would have a deeper insight into the beauty of land and the people of Hong Kong.
