Mr Ermes Martarello, the leader of the Italian team, said DIFF is one of the largest and most celebrated fireworks festivals in the world, and it has helped Da Nang rise to fame domestically and internationally.

He and his teammates recalled unforgettable moments of being crowned champions at DIFF 2017.

Through the use of special effects in upcoming firework display, the Italian competitors will create visual images of Da Nang’s beautiful bridges swinging, glittering, sparkling and being splendid in the night sky.

“Pyrotechnic shapes will drift slowly towards the infinite horizon-like bridges of endless friendship and longstanding happiness in life”, Mr Ermes Martarello remarked.

It was also revealed that more advanced pyrotechnic techniques and foreign systems compared with last year will be utilised, thereby lifting the performance skills of the Italian team to a new height.

At this year’s event, the Italian competitors will exert every effort to produce the best possible display like what they preformed last year, hereby securing their championship title.

Ms Cindy Ying Sau Vermeulen, the leader of the Hong Kong team, revealed that her team’s upcoming pyrotechnic performance will look like “an intriguing movie under the stars”.

Accordingly, the audience will be invited to join in a dramatic and romantic cinematic journey based on the soundtrack of the popular films over the past 2 decades.

Especially, the Hong Kong team will use a Vietnamese song for their show in order to highlight the Vietnamese identity, and stir up the deepest feelings amongst the audience.

A total of 5,000 low-altitude and 2,000 high-altitude fireworks tubes will be used, all of which were manufactured by Vulcan itself for their upcoming fireworks display.

Ms Cindy Ying Sau Vermeulen said she hoped that her team will thrill the pyro-lovers with a spectacular show whose preparatory tasks, including fireworks manufacturing, the development of outlines and choreography, have been implemented by the Hong Kong technicians by themselves.

Given their meticulous preparations, hopefully, the display by the Italian and Hong Kong contestants will amaze the viewers with support music perfectly choreographed to innovative imagery, fireworks, and special lighting effects on much awaited tomorrow.
