DIFF tops list of Viet Nam's 5 most remarkable cultural events
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) tops a list of the 5 most outstanding cultural events in Viet Nam in 2018.

The remaining 4 events in the list are Non Nuoc Cao Bang receiving UNESCO Global Geopark title, an unique contemporary art space inside the National Assembly House, first-time awarding the title ‘People’s Artisan’ in intangible cultural heritage, and Vietnamese beauty earning a niche in the global map of beauty.
These events were selected via the website: http://sukienvhttdl.bvhttdl.gov.vn from 3-8 January, and DIFF 2018 received the highest number of votes with 10,422.
DIFF 2018, which had ‘The Legend of Bridges’ as its theme, took place in the city from 30 April to 30 June.
Last year’s event featured performances by 8 teams, namely Poland, France, the US, Italy, Hong Kong, Sweden, Portugal, and the host Da Nang-Viet Nam.
This large-scale international event has helped Da Nang strongly affirmed its position as ‘Asia’s Leading Festival and Events Destination’. During the 2-month-long festival, the city hosted a total of over 1.58 million visitors, up 25.54% against 2017.
DIFF 2019, which will take ‘Nhung dong song ke chuyen’ (Rivers tell stories) as its main theme, will take place in the city from 1 June to 6 July. It will attract the participations of 8 teams, namely Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, Italy, UK, China, and Da Nang-Viet Nam.
