EWEC Cycle Race attracts hundreds of cyclists from 35 countries worldwide
Hundreds of cyclists from 35 countries worldwide participated in the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC) Cycle Race 2019 from 30 March - 19 April.
During the international event, the cyclists competed in a 1,500km race stretching across Vietnamese localities of Da Nang, Hue and Quang Tri, and Southeast Asia countries of Laos, Thailand, Myanmar and Cambodia. They began the race from the East Sea Park, and ended at the former Han River Port, both in Da Nang.
Co-organised by the Da Nang Sports Bicycle Association and the Dana Home Land Urban Development and Investment JSC (HomeLand Group), the event aimed to deepen the economic-cultural development relationship, and boost the friendship between countries along the EWEC.
At the end of the journey, the organisers presented gifts patients in the Da Nang General Hospital, visited the Children's Cultural Palace, and burnt incense at the Bo Bo Monument in Quang Nam Province.
