The official draw for the 8^th Da Nang Newspaper Football Tournament for primary and junior high school pupils took place on Tuesday.

The tournament will run at the city’s Tien Son Sports Arena from 17-24 May.

This year’s tournament will see the participation of 16 teams who have all recorded outstanding achievements in sports activities in their schools over the past year.

The results of the draw were as follows:

Group A: Nguyen Duy Trinh, Ngo Gia Tu, Tran Cao Van and Phu Dong primary schools.

Group B: Nguyen Van Troi, Be Van Dan, Thai Thi Boi and Hoa Tien 1 primary schools.

Group C:  Tran Dai Nghia, Nguyen Hong Anh, Tay Son and Ngo Thi Nham junior high schools

Group D:  Huynh Thuc Khang, Huynh Ba Chanh, Nguyen Van Linh and Ly Tu Trong junior high schools

Under the competition’s rules, the teams will compete in a round-robin format in the qualifying stages.

The 2 most outstanding teams in each group will compete in the semi-final rounds.

On the opening day of the tournament, 17 May, there will be matches in groups A and B for the primary schools: Nguyen Duy Trinh v Ngo Gia Tu (Group A), Phu Dong v Tran Cao Van (Group A), Nguyen Van Troi v Be Van Dan (Group B), Hoa Tien 1 v Thai Thi Boi (Group B).

The following day will feature the first matches in groups C and D for the junior high schools.
