Eight teams, namely Russia, Brazil, Belgium, Finland, Italy, the UK, China, and Da Nang-Viet Nam, are promised to show their best performances at the 2019 Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2019) from 1 June to 6 July.

DIFF has been emerging as a ‘must-see’ event for both domestic and foreign tourists every summer, thereby making Da Nang become one of the cities of fireworks in the world.

The hosts Da Nang-Viet Nam is scheduled to take ‘The Legendary River Banks’ as the theme of their performance on 1 June, competing against Russia.

The show, lasting 21 minutes and 10 seconds, is expected to feature 5 parts, respectively themed ‘Peacefulness’ highlighting Vietnamese light music; ‘Fighting’ with ‘One above All’ performed by Two Steps from Hell, ‘Victory’ with the song ‘Dear Viet Nam’ by FM Band; ‘Integration’ with the song ‘Touch by Touch’ by Joy Band; and ‘ Development’ with the song ‘Da Nang Fireworks’ by F5 Band.

To fully express this meaningful theme, the hosts developed their own creativity in using impressive lighting effects, colourful fireworks, and accompanying music in a bid to produce the most impressive fireworks show imaginable to the audience.

Team Fireworks Center Khan from Russia is predicted to thrill the spectators with their impressive show entitled ‘Dance of Fire and Water’ at DIFF 2019.

According to Russian contestants, fire and water are powerful natural elements, unbridled energies. Two antagonists, 2 different worlds that have coexisted with each other for millions of years, but can never be together. A strikingly beautiful phenomenon highlights placers of sparkling sparks and balls of fire opening up in the sky and reflecting on the water surface of the Khan River.

The audience will immerse themselves into an inviting space of magic and wizardry. Alluring drawings in the dark, bright flames that make up the colourful and stunning pyro-musical show, will carry viewers into the world of illusion, dreams, and fantasies.

Team New Fireworks do Brasil from Brazil will choose the theme ‘Mysteries of Rivers’ for their coming 20-minute show. 

The show is expected to touch the heart of the audience, creating suspense and pathos, changing the intensity of the music during the display. The Brazilian contestants decided not to exaggerate with the number of products, so the audience will give more attention in every shot and follow it full of expectations like it was the progression of a draw made with a brush. Besides, the colour of the fireworks were chosen thinking in the reflects on the river and in the feeling suggested by cool and warm colours. The intention is to create a cathartic effect after the show leaving only a sense of peace in everyone.

The show, entitled ‘ Drops’, by team Parente Fireworks Group from Italy, the DIFF 2018 champions, will feature a journey from the place where emotions are born up to the place where they become universal. Drop by drop the show river flow merges to become one with a long way of an emotion that is born, grows and dugs the world with its force, changing it.

“Our passions and your emotions-these words are not just a poetic expression of collaboration between fireworks and emotions. Our task in this show is to create these feelings. We are sure that different colours and effects playing to the sounds will help us to reach the purpose”, remarked Antonio Parente, the Italian team leader.

Given their meticulous preparations, the 8 participating teams at DIFF 2019 are expected to win the heart of the spectators

China-based Hunan Jingtai Fireworks Co., Ltd will treat the pyrotechnic fans with their show ‘Stories of the River’. The show tells us about the happy excursion made by Kun- a very huge fish. The Kun turns into a bird called Peng. When it vibrates its wings and rises straight, the wings are like clouds hanging in the sky. When on a voyage, this bird starts for the southern ocean, the celestial lake, and in the records of marvels. The water is smitten for a space of 3 thousands of miles around, whilst the bird itself mounts upon a great wind to a height of 90 thousands of miles for a flight if 6 months’ duration.

Contestants from the UK- based Pyrotex Fireworx Ltd revealed that their show at DIFF 2019 will be a powerful yet emotional display with soundtracks changing from classical to dance music pieces. All the songs correspond to the theme chosen by the DIFF organisers.

The performance by team H.C Pyrotechnics from Belgium, themed ‘The greatest show’, aims to pat tribute to the biggest show productions and performers who travel around the world from the river to city to entertain and amaze thousands of spectators. Their show reflect all aspects of their constant moving life from the adrenaline rush on stage till the lonely moments away their family and the amazing reward you get from the audience.

Team JoHo Pyro Professional Fireworks from Finland is scheduled to perform the show ‘Hero of the Rivers’. JoHo Pyro demonstrates the Finnish strength and resilience through a magnificent pyro-musical show that narrate the mythological and heroic expedition of Lemminkainen. In his pursuit to win the heart of a young beautiful woman, he tries to conquer the fearsome Tuoni river. Unable to overcome the wrath of the river, his mom, the true woman of his life, searches for him and revive him back to life. The audience will be treated with a spectacular show full of actions and emotions through the triumphant story of the true hero of the river- Lemminkainen.

The main theme of the 5-night festival is called Stories by the Rivers, during which many stories about the cultural history as well as the flow that connects all senses of life will be conveyed through spectacular fireworks performances in music of each team.
