The city's footballers called into national football squad
Recently, a total of 30 football players have been called into Viet Nam’s U23 football team in preparation for a friendly match against Myanmar on 7 June in Phu Tho Province.

The national squad will be led by coach Park Hang-seo's assistant Kim Han-yoon because Mr Park is responsible for guiding Viet Nam’s national football team to compete at the 2019 King’s Cup international tournament in Thailand also in June.
Amongst the U23 football team are Phan Van Bieu, A Mit, Do Thanh Thinh and Bui Tien Dung from SHB Da Nang.
In addition, there are some football players who produced breathtaking performances in the final round of the 2018 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship, and the qualifying round of the 2020 AFC U23 Championship.
Included are goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung, defender Nguyen Thanh Chung, and midfielders Truong Van Thai Quy, Nguyen Trong Dai, Trieu Viet Hung, Nguyen Hoang Duc, and Ho Tan Tai.
Most notably, the team are marked by the presence of Vietnamese Australian Martin Lo who is playing for the Pho Hien Club.
The young player’s parents are Vietnamese, but he was born and grew up in Australia.
Martin Lo was trained for football in Australia. He used to play for the Western Sydney Club and compete in the Australian Football Championships.
As scheduled, Viet Nam’s U23 football team will gather and participate in training programmes in Ha Noi on 2 June.
On 4 June, Vietnamese footballers will play a trial match against Viettel. Two days later, they will move to Phu Tho Province in a bid to prepare for a friendly match against Myanmar at the Viet Tri Stadium at 8.00pm on 7 June.
