6 pupils win prizes at National Contest to Seek Ambassadors of Reading Culture 2019
The awards ceremony for the National Contest to Seek Ambassadors of Reading Culture 2019 took place at the Da Nang- based General Science Library on Thursday morning.
The city’s pupils won 1 second, 4 third and 1 consolation prizes.
In particular, Tran Thi Ngoc Quynh, a Year 9 pupil from the Huynh Ba Canh Junior High School in Ngu Hanh Son District, took the second prize.
The third prizes went to Nguyen Kha Ly from Nguyen Dinh Chieu Junior High School in Thanh Khe District, Do Phuong Uyen from the Tay Son Junior High School in Hai Chau District, Dang Van Huy from the Hoa Nhon 1 Primary School in Hoa Vang District, and Doan Thao Nguyen from the Tran Quang Dieu Primary School in Ngu Hanh Son District.
Cap Tran Ha My, a Year 3 pupil from the Hoa Tien 2 Primary School in Hoa Vang District, grabbed a consolation prize.
Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the National Contest to Seek Ambassadors of Reading Culture 2019 attracted 536,557 pupils and students from 4,379 from primary schools to universities across the country.
A total of 942 entries from pupils, and 108 others from students, were chosen to enter the final round of the contest.
In the end, a pupil was awarded the title of ‘Typical Ambassador of Reading Culture’. In addition, 8 first, 12 second, 40 third, 100 consolation and other prizes were given to outstanding contestants.
