Tennis Training Centre affirms position

After one year of its operation, the Da Nang Tennis Training Centre (DTTC) has affirmed its reputation in the city’s tennis sector, as well as in the country’s as a whole.

DTTC Executive Director Truong Quang Vu remarked, under the guidance of Technical Director Dimitri Penchev, a Canada Certified Level 3 Tennis Coach, DTTC’s players have gained remarkable achivements after only several months of the centre’s operation.

In particular, local tennis players have grabbed a total of 3 golden, 5 silver, and 9 bronze medals at the 2019 National Tennis Youth Championship, 4 golden, 3 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 2019 National Tennis Championship, and 6 golden, 4 silver and 1 bronze medals at some international-level competitions.

With its initial successes, DTTC has gradually affirmed its prestige in the central region, and the country as a whole. Since then, the centre has started to receive trainees from Son La, Ninh Binh, and Dak Lak provinces.

After one year of being trained at DTTC, 5 tennis players from Son La Province made history for their locality’s tennis sector by taking 2 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals at the 2019 National Tennis Youth Championship.

Director of Son La Province’s Sports and Physical Training Centre Dieu Chinh Quy said, at DTTC, tennis players from his locality had been trained by enthusiastic and dedicated coaches. In addition, they had the opportunity to compete with famous tennis players nationwide to improve their professional skills.

Chairman of the municipal People’s Council cum the Da Nang Tennis Federation Nguyen Nho Trung pledged that the municipal authorities would create very favourable conditions for DTTC to develop in line with the local tennis sector’s development plan over the 2020-2025 period, with a focus on developing DTTC into one of the country’s high-quality tennis centres in the near future.
