The ongoing Raid Amazones 2019 is taking place in Da Nang and Quang Nam Province from 16 - 19 October.

The event sees the participation of over 300 amateur female athletes, mainly from France, aged between 30 and 60.

In Da Nang, on Wednesday morning, the contestants took part in a running race on the Son Tra Peninsula from the helicopter base to a parking area at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.

On Saturday, 19 October, they will compete in an archery competition at the Centara Sandy Beach Resort Da Nang.

In Quang Nam Province, there will be 7km run, 14km and 15km canoe race, and 26km cycle and run.

The Raid Amazones 2019 is a triathlon consisting of terrain bike racing (40km), running (10-20km), and kayaking (5-10km). Besides, there are some support activities, including an archery competition, and learning about history, culture and tourism of the two central localities where the sports event takes place.
