The 23^rd DA NANG Newspaper Road Races will take place at the Tien Son Sport Arena on Saturday morning, 21 December.

The event is being co-organised by the newspaper, the muncipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the muncipal Department of Education and Training, the city’s Military Command, and the muncipal Police Department.

As many as runners in total are expected to participate in this year’s event. They are professional runners, employees from government agencies and companies, students from junior and senior high schools, vocational schools, junior colleges and universities across the city, along with officers and men from the city-based armed forces. Specially, amongst the runners will be athletes from the Danang Runners Group (DRG) and the Danang Triathlon team.

Mr Vo Quoc Tuan, one of the key members of DRG, said this was the second time DRG members had competed in this event. He affirmed that they were very eager to participate in this race which is considered as one of the city’s sports competitions.

Mr Thien Binh, a DRG member, said this year’s event will see the participation of athletes from running clubs across the city, including Hoa Khanh Runners, Cam Le Runners, Ngu Hanh Son Runners and Hoa Cuong Bac Runners. This will help to make the upcoming competition be more exciting and thrilling.
