Festive season promises a feast of exciting events throughout the city
Local residents and visitors from across the country and the world will be treated to a feast of exciting events throughout Da Nang over the next few months.

Hoa Vang District’s Hoa Phong Commune will host the Tuy Loan Village Communal House Festival on 2 and 3 February (the 9th and 10th days of the 1st lunar month).
The first day of the event will feature various solemn traditional festive activities, including an incense offering ceremony in commemoration of national heroes and ancestors, and releasing balloons and pigeons for peace and safety throughout the year.
Meanwhile, locals and visitors arriving in the city will have a chance to take part in folk games and traditional competitions on the second day of the event.
Also, other annual festivals will take place at the Hai Chau Village Communal House on 2 April (the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month), at the Xuan Loc Village Communal House on 10 April (the 18th day of the 3rd lunar month), and at the Cam Toai Village Communal House on 16 May (the 24th day of the 4th lunar month).
This year, Phuoc Ly Village will host the ‘8th Village Festival in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Minh Ward’ on 8 May (16th day of the 4th lunar month).
In addition, Cau Ngu (fish worshipping) festivals will be held in Thanh Khe District’s Thanh Khe Tay Ward from 5 - 9 February (12th to 16th days of the 1st lunar month).
The event will involve prayers for happiness and prosperity throughout the year, and for a safe and profitable fishing season ahead. Also, there will be a variety of fascinating folk games, such as tug-of-war, coracle race, and fishing net knitting.
The similar festivals will also be organised in Son Tra District’s Man Thai Ward on 18 February (the 25th day of the 1st lunar month), the district’s Phuoc My Ward on 19 February (the 26th day of the 1st lunar month), the district’s An Hai Bac Ward on 8 and 9 March (15th and 16th days of the 2nd lunar month), the district’s An Hai Tay Ward on 12 and 13 March (19th and 20th days of the 2nd lunar month), and the Hai Nam Temple in Lien Chieu District’s Hoa Hiep Nam Ward.
The Quan The Am (Avalokitecvara) Festival will run from 10 - 12 March (the 17th - 19th days of the 2nd lunar month) at Ngu Hanh Son District's Quan The Am (Avalokitecvara) Pagoda in the Marble Mountains Tourist Area.
