Golden Bridge
With its incredibly impressive design resembling a strip of yellow silk on the giant hands of a god, at a height of 1,414m above sea level, the Cau Vang (Golden Bridge), located on the top of the Sun World Ba Na Hills, has been very inviting to visitors from both home and abroad.
Developed by the Sun Group, the 150m-long, 12.8m-wide bridge features 8 spans. The bridge creates a walkway in the sky, among the foggy and fairy-like lands of the Ba Na Mountain.
Since it opened to the public in June 2018, the bridge has gone on viral on social media worldwide.
The Golden Bridge was named one of the world’s most striking pedestrian bridges by the UK newspaper The Guardian in August 2018. Another UK newspaper, The Independent, has listed the Golden Bridge in its top 10 list of the world’s most incredible bridges. Other major news outlets like the BBC, AFP, Reuters, and CNN have also gushed over it.
Most recently, Business Insider, a U.S. business and technology news website based in New York City, has named the Cau Vang Bridge among the 28 most stunning bridges around the world.
Bridge of Love Locks
The Bridge of Love Locks is one of the most favourite places in the city for both locals and visitors, and it has become an ideal venue for couples in love. The 68m-long and 6m-wide features the arc shape, and its construction is inspired from famous padlock bridges worldwide such as Pond des Arts in France, Hohenzollern in Germany, Tretriakovsky in Russia, and Milvio in Italy.
Couples have been decorating the bridge with locks for several years. They are meant to symbolise the locking of hearts, inspired by a story described in a novel.
Hue T-junction overpass
The Hue T-junction overpass, the largest of its kind in Viet Nam, officially opened to traffic on 29 March 2015 to mark the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.
The overpass consists of 3 levels: the lowest level is used for rail traffic, whilst the upper levels are for local and inter-provincial vehicular traffic.
Its design features the shapes of Linga and Yoni which are symbols of Hindu god Shiva, representing humanity's vigorous vitality and creativity.
Since its open to traffic, the overpass has helped to reduce traffic congestion and the number of accidents in the area, as well as become a unique architectural feature at the northern gateway to the city.
Hoa Cam overpass
Work started on the Hoa Cam overpass in Cam Le District in 2004. After 10 months of construction, the 252m-long, 28m-wide, 6-lane overpass was officially opened to traffic.
Since opening to traffic in 2004, the Hoa Cam overpass has played a vital role in promoting the development of trade and transportation at the city’s Highway 14B linked with to highland localities, as well as relieving traffic congestion and reducing the number of traffic accidents in the district.
