With their special passion for bowling, the team members have stayed focused on mindset tactics and exercises for maximising their bowling performances.
During the nationwide social distancing period, Da Nang’s bowling athletes continued to find resourceful ways to train and stay fit at home to increase strength and improve their skills.
After the national social distancing measures were eased on 23April, bowling athletes in Da Nang have returned to training in preparation for forthcoming national and international sports competitions.
Coach of the city’s Bowling Team Pham Phu Hung said, unlike other sports teams, the city’s bowling team has been lack of training facilities and equipment. He added that training sessions have been held at bowling playgrounds at the Co.opmart and Lotte Mart in the city.
He, however, noted local bowling athletes have received active support from Da Nang sports leaders.
Coach Hung said that his student athletes are hoping to get the highest possible achievement in upcoming sports competitions at both home and abroad. They set a target of claiming one gold and one silver medals at the 2020 National Bowling Championship and the 2020 National Championship for Bowling Clubs.
“In addition to such key stars as Pham Hoang Phuc and Nguyen Tan Chau, the city’s bowling team is in need of some young talented athletes in an effort to help the city’s team improve their position in the national sport sector”, coach Hung.
