The local players have been stepping up their preparations for the resumption of Viet Nam's top-tier V-League 2020 on 26 September for the first time after the city braced for the 2nd wave of Covid-19 infections in late July.

Coach Duc said the Covid-19 crisis has had a profound impact on SHB DN and Quang Nam because Da Nang and Quang Nam Province have been hit hard by the 2nd wave of the virus infections.

Duc said he was keen for his football stars to keep in peak shape despite the suspension of the league season, whereby he and members of the coaching board have provided each player with individual programmes to help them hit the ground running when they return to outdoor training.

The return of football is a sign that the society is progressing towards the new normal.

“As planned, SHB DN will play a friendly match against Quang Nam this weekend, which will be like a mini pre-season, with conditioning work to re-establish fitness levels of local players” coach Duc noted.

While the players are happy to get back to kicking a ball, their coach Le Huynh Duc makes ensure that the 'safer return to training' precautions should be practical and suitable.

He emphasised that SHB players would focus on harder physical work at the start and tactical meetings at the back end in preparation for their match against Hai Phong at the Hoa Xuan Stadium on 26 September.

SHB DN’s coach said that he and his squad are confident of victory in the forthcoming match due to their rivals’ unimpressive results over their recent games. In addition, most of SHB DN players are now in very good mental health conditions.
