An art exhibition showcasing Da Nang’s fight against Covid-19 is being held at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum.

In total, 75 photos and 45 paintings featuring frontline medical workers and citizens are being displayed. The exhibition aims to honour frontliners for their silent sacrifice, and highlight spontaneous acts of kindness of Da Nang’s citizens, during the touch fight against the deadly virus.

The displayed works are the most outstanding ones selected from an online photo and painting contest on Da Nang's battle against Covid-19.

Organised by the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports, the contest was open to all domestic and foreign amateur and professional photographers and painters across Viet Nam from 20 August to 20 September.

After one month of launching, the contest’s organisers received a combined total of 446 entries from 106 photographers and painters around the country.

Two first, 4 second, 6 third and 10 consolation prizes have been awarded to best displayed works at the exhibition.

The event runs until 25 October and admission is free of charge.
