20 entries eligible to compete at design contest for expansion of Hai Chau District Administrative Centre

Twenty entries are eligible to compete at a contest seeking best architectural ideas for the expansion of Hai Chau District Administrative Centre, the Da Nang Construction Technical Consulting Centre announced. In particular, the ‘green’ architecture trend are highlighted in these entries.

The expansion project, planned at 270 Tran Phu, Phuoc Ninh Ward, Hai Chau District with a total area of 8,010 m2, is expected to consist of the existing Hai Chau District Administrative Centre covering about 4,925 m2, the existing traffic island site with about 2,396 m2 and the planned-to-be-relocated houses nearby with a total area of about 691m2.

The planned project will border a 3m wide alley to the north, the current residential area to the west, Le Dinh Duong Street to the south and Tran Phu Street to the east.

The total value of prizes and financial aids is VND 500 million. In detail, there will be the first prize of VND300 million, the second prize of VND100 million and the third prize of VND50 million.

Besides, each of the five high-scoring entries advancing to the final round, except for 3 prize-winning ones, will receive VND10 million each.

The awards ceremony is slated to take place next month.
