Improve efficiency of conservation and promotion of Da Nang cultural heritage
The Da Nang government has just approved in principle a project of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the city for the 2021 - 2025 period.
The project aims to complete the restoration and embellishment of the already-ranked relics, ensuring a harmony with surrounding environmental landscape and promoting their cultural value.
The local authorities will rank eight national and municipal-level relic sites, seek the recognition as national treasure for one or two artifacts, restore 12 ancient folk houses with high value that have yet to be ranked and complete the digitization of already-recognised tangible, intangible and documentary cultural heritage.
In order to accomplish the aforementioned objectives, importance will be attached to taking many solutions such as advertising the local tourism, publicising the local typical culture to both residents and visitors and raising public awareness about linking cultural heritage with tourism development.
In addition, heed will be paid to recommending the Co Tu ethnic group in the city to proactively eliminate outdated customs and habits, as well as promoting their role in the conservation and promotion of their time-honoured traditional cultural values.
