Series of cultural activities to held in celebration of Da Nang's liberation

An array of joyful and engrossing activities and cultural events are scheduled to take place across Da Nang from now until late March to mark the 47th anniversary of the liberation of the city (29 March, 1975 - 2022).

Specifically, from March 23 - 25, the Da Nang Centre for Culture and Cinema is cooperating with localities to organise mobile arts programmes and photo exhibitions in Son Tra and Thanh Khe districts.

An exhibition highlighting about 300 documents related to the city's history, economy, politics and society will be held in both in-person and virtual formats by the Da Nang General Science Library between March 25 and 31.

The Da Nang Centre for Culture and Cinema-hosted street music programme will take place at the foot of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge on March 26.

Also on the same day, both locals and visitors will have the opportunity to learn about culture of India and take part in many exciting activities at the Holi Festival, India’s Festival of Colour, which will be held at the Man Thai Beach by The Workshop Da Nang Co., Ltd.

In the evening of March 26, at the Trung Vuong Theatre, the municipal Department of Culture and Sports will hold a gala of a movement to compose songs and write stage scripts about anti-COVID fight.

Also on March 26 evening, the city’s Centre of Culture - Cinema in collaboration with the Junior College of Culture and Arts, and the People's Committee of Son Tra District, will orrganise a street dance and musical performance on Tran Hung Dao Street.

The Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre will host general art programmes to celebrate the 47th anniversary of the city's liberation at a public park on the eastern side of the Tran Thi Ly Bridge on March 27, and at 155 Phan Chau Trinh Street on March 29.

Most prominently, an amazing air balloon festival which features 12 multi-coloured mini balloons, 3 level 7 balloons and 2 steam balloons will take place on March 27. The event will offer unique experiences for visitors on this special day.

The Da Nang Union of Literature and Arts Associations plans to organize an arts programme at the APEC Sculpture Park, and a closing and awards ceremony for cinematic works at the Le Do Theatre on March 29.

On March 29, a Trung Vuong Theatre-organised general arts programme will take place at the semicircle of Bach Dang Street, whilst an arts exhibition entitled ‘Reunion’ showcasing nearly 50 paintings created by artists from Quang Nam Province and Da Nang will open at the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts.
