The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just planned to organise the ASEAN Film Week 2022 in Ha Noi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City in the middle of the second quarter of the year.

The activity aims to celebrate the 55^th founding anniversary of ASEAN of which Viet Nam is a member.

The event is not only a place for ASEAN member nations to exchange and introduce good films, but also to connect cultures and together build a peaceful, stable and dynamic community.

During the 6-day-lasting film week, a number of special works of cinema from ASEAN member countries will be screened free for the audience. The screened films are based on the criteria of honouring the artistic values in accordance with the fine customs, traditions and culture of Viet Nam.

The Ministry has proposed the Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports to coordinate with the Department of Cinema to conduct movie screenings at the city-based Le Do Cinema, as well as promote the publicity of a film screening programme in the mass media.
