The Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports has launched the municipal-level Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2022 for school pupils across the city, aiming to promote the reading movement and develop reading culture in young generations.

Accordingly, contestants can choose one of two topics, each with two questions. They are required to submit independent entries at their schools in the form of writing, clips or drawings.

Entries are selected through rounds. In particular, the school-level grading round takes place from now until May 13, the grading round at district-level offices of Education and Training and the municipal Department of Education and Training from May 14 - 28, and municipal-level grading round from May 29 - June 25.

The most excellent entries will be selected to go advance to the national-level contest before July 15.

The contest’s organisers plan to award prizes to outstanding groups and individuals at the Da Nang General Science Library on July 15, including 3 ‘Da Nang Ambassador of Reading Culture’ prizes of VND6 million each, and 27 consolation prizes of VND3 million each.

In addition, collective awards will go to three schools with the highest entrant numbers, and three schools with the highest number of first prize winners. Each school will reactive a bookcase worth VND5 million.
