Da Nang Reading Culture Festival 2022 opens

The Da Nang General Science Library, in coordination with the Trans-Viet Nam Book Association to open the Da Nang Reading Culture Festival 2022, bringing thousands of book publications and many fun and interesting activities. Also attendance at the event was People's Committee Vice Chairman Ngo Thi Kim Yen.

The Da Nang Reading Culture Festival 2022 will take place from April 20 to 24 with a variety of activities for all ages such as display, exhibition, and sales of 200,000 copies of books/10,000 publications of various genres and topics.

In particular, also on the highlight of the ongoing festival is the ‘Draw the future - paint a dream’ for parents and children to show their crafting and creativity skills, along with interactive games around the content and the characters mentioned in books.

During the festival, the organisers also held discussions and exchanges between readers and authors and experts in the fields of culture, education and publishing.

At the opening ceremony, the National Political Publishing House of Truth presented the bookcase to the Da Nang School of Politics.

In a similar vein, the Da Nang General Science Library donated bookcases to Thanh Khe Senior High School in Thanh Khe District and Son Tra Senior High School in Son Tra District, worth VND10 million/case.

This year's festival accompanies the Trans-Viet Nam Book Association, bringing together 6 leading publishing units in Viet Nam, namely Minh Long Book, Thai Ha Books, Nha Nam, Dinh Ti, and Youth Publishing House and Saigon Books.

Through the festival, the organisers want to spread the reading movement in the community, encourage the development of reading culture in the city, create an environment for exchange, cooperation and development in the field of publishing books and a useful entertainment space for people and visitors to Da Nang.
