Co-organised by the theatre and the Hai Chau District People's Committee, the event aimed to celebrate the International Children's Day (June 1) and respond to the Action Month for Children 2022.

Chairman of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang Ngo Xuan Thang, Head of the municipal Party Committee's Mass Mobilisation Board Le Van Trung, and Vice Chairwoman of the People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen, made their attendance at the event.

The arts programme featured a number of fascinating music and dance performances in serve of children.

During the event, the district authorities presented more than 1,000 gifts, worth more than VND500 million in total, to disadvantaged and disabled children in the locality.

Also at the event, nearly VND700 million in in-kind and cash donations was raised from generous philanthropists for disadvantaged children in Hai Chau District.

Besides, VND 200 million was collected from charity auctions of 32-year-old Ngoc Linh ginseng and a pair of huge wooden hyacinths with mother-of-pearl inlaid decoration. The collected money was added to the district's fund for disadvantaged children.

The arts programme showed the interest of all-level authorities, organisations, parents, teachers and the whole society in creating equal development opportunities for children, especially those in difficult circumstances and at risk of harm in particular.
