Da Nang ready to welcome tourists during National Day Holiday

Vietnamese residents and employees nationwide will enjoy 4-day break for this year's Nationation Holiday which last from September 1 (Thursday) to September 4 (Sunday). Tourist attractions and entertainment spots across Da Nang have already prepared themselves for the upcoming public holiday and they are ready to welcome visitors.

Exciting events promised

In its efforts to improve its visitor experience, the Sun World Ba Na Hills Resort is offering an array of events to surprise and delight its guests.  Included are a minishow entilted ‘A golden Harvest Season’, Surreal Experience, exploring Moon Castle with many racing games, and discovering spectacular mountain railways, experiencing incredible 5D movies with moving seats and dazzling special effects, as well as admiring 40 famous Greek mythology statues created by world-renowned sculptor Frill Gallery at the Sun Waterfall.

The Asia Park continues offering free entry to its visitors during weekdays (including public holidays) in addition to organizing such fun events as the ‘Dances of Birds of Paradise’ show twice a day, band performances, Dragon and lion dances. This venue promises to be an ideal destination for locals and tourists during the upcoming holiday.

Mrs Le Thi Bich Huong, the Marketing and Communications Director of the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park said the resort’s rooms have been fully booked for the forthcoming holiday.

Besides, the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park has put its new items into use, including Love Forest, Huyen Vu Hill, Thanh Long Pool, Yoga Flooring, and Love Waterfall in order to make it more inviting to visitors. Special attention has been paid to upgrading existing items at this venue with the aim of diversifying products and services there. Importance has been attached to launching a program for 'green' messaging, as well as offering free tickets and launching a tree-planting program for primary and junior high school pupils across Da Nang.

Furthermore, other tourist sites are offering great deals on their services along with stunning events to increase visitor numbers. All visitors to Mikazuki Water Park will save 30% off admission tickets.

This year's National Day celebrations in Da Nang promise wonderful surprises with a feast of stunning events. Included are water music, Toom Sara Village nestled in Hoa Phu Commune, Hoa Vang District, 3 evening music concerts themed ‘Wind and clouds over Mountains’ “Brilliant May’ and "The Rain Stories" on September 2, 3 and 4, respectively.

The Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival 2022 is scheduled to take place from August 29 to September 2 with its highlighting events being the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022 and lots of interesting side activities. Apart from its highlighting event being the BRG Open Golf Championship Danang 2022, the Da Nang Golf Tourism Festival will feature an array of exciting events. Included are the Pro-Am Prize taking place on August 30, golfing experiences and practices at golf courses in Central Viet Nam with free tours to Montgomerie Links Golf Club from August 25 to September 5, and free golf practices for children under 12 years old at the Laguna Lang Co Golf Club.

In addition, there are various amazing events in Da Nang for National Day Holiday celebrations. Inluded are Youth Sailing National Championships, National SUP club Championships, SSI Marathon 2022, music programs entitled ‘Just not together’, ‘Remember you’, and more.

Ensuring safety for visitors

Mr Nguyen Ngoc Anh, the Director of the Omega Tourism Co., Ltd remarked that Da Nang will not witness massive growth in visitor numbers during the upcoming public holiday because the peak summer season for domestic tourists has passed while the New School Academic Year started across the country. Mr Anh highlighted the need for travel agencies to prepare sufficient accommodation and passenger transport vehicles for tourists as they tend to book tours and hotels near the holiday break. Domestic airlines have also added more flights from Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi to Da Nang to meet the growing travel demand for passengers during the forthcoming holiday.

The most-visited tourist sites in Da Nang are expected to include the Sun World Ba Na Hills, the Asia Park, the Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park, the Marble Mountains, and Mikazuki Water Park 365. The majority of visitor arrivals in the city is predicted to stay in 4 to 5 star tourist accommodation establishments in coastal areas. Occupancy rate at Da Nang-based resorts where visitor groups have booked rooms through the holiday is expected to reach about 90% while the figure at hotels in the inner city is forecast to reach about 40-45%.

Mr Tan Van Vuong, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the unit has asked  tourism businesses and service providers to take all necessary measures to ensure the quality of their products and services to best serve tourists. The Management Board of the Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches have been directed to deploy enough staff to ensure the security and environmental sanitation, as well as ensure rescue at sea.

531 domestic and international flights expected to arrive in Da Nang

Between August 31 and September 4, Da Nang is expected to welcome 436 domestic flights carrying 47,000 passengers in total and 95 international flights with about 13,300 passengers onboard.  During the 4-day holidy break, the city’s tourist attractions are predicted to see a rise of 38% in visitor numbers compared to the same period in 2019

Abundant supply of goods with great deals

Shopping demand from local residents and tourists is expected to increase sharply during the 4-day holiday break. Retailers across Da Nang are offering great deals on their products. The Co.opmart Da Nang stockpiled goods in early third quarter of this year with a 50% increase compared to the previous quarter and a than 70% rise compared to the same period last year. In addition, the supermarket has worked with its suppliers to develop supply strategies in stabilizing prices of products, offering discount programs as much as possible, and diversifying their offerings.

During 3 consecutive weeks from August 25 to September 14, shoppers at Co.opmart supermarket chain, Co.opXtra and more than 500 food stores, including Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Finelife, Cheers will save 20-80% on more than 2,000 Vietnamese products.

From August 25 through September 7, the GO! supermarket is launching a special discount program entitled ‘Proud to Welcome the Great Holiday’ with up to 50% off more than 300 products.

Lotte Mart and Winmart supermarkets located on second floor of Vincom Plaza have increased their stock of goods by 30% to serve the growing shopping demand from local people and tourists during the holiday. Besides, traditional markets have already prepared sufficient goods for local consumers.
