Exciting 'Big Dork Dance' on My Khe Beach

The ‘Big Dork Dance’ activity which took place at Da Nang’s My Khe Beach on Sunday late afternoon attracted a large number of local residents and tourists. Organised by the Dork Dancing Group, the activity is a free dance movement for the community in an effort to promote better mental health.

Dork Dancing is a free dance movement and mental health advocacy campaign where celebration and activism meet to end mental health stigma, illness and inequity for happier and healthier brains. The Dork Dancing in Da Nang was founded by Ethan Levy when he was stuck in the city because of COVID-19. |

Free dancing on the My Khe Beach attracts a large number of participants. Everyone expressed their excitement in the dance steps on the background of exciting Vietnamese and international songs. |

As an active member of the Dork Dancing group, Ms. Hang Phuong (right) said, through the ‘Big Dork Dance’ events, she and other group members want to continue to raise public awareness of the importance of healthcare, and create a useful playground for the community, thereby contributing to spreading positive energy to everyone. |

After a period of operation, the Dork Dancing group has connected many locals and tourists to its dancing activities. Besides Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, the activity has spread to Denver in the USA. |
