The Da Nang Open Tennis Tournament for Heineken Cup 2022 officially kicked off at the city’s Tien Son Sports Arena on Saturday morning.

Co-organised by the municipal Department of Culture and Sports, the Heineken Vietnam Co., Ltd., and the Dat Phat Sports Co., Ltd., the tournament saw the participation of more than 160 athletes from such provinces and cities as Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Gia Lai, Kontum, and Dak Lak.

The contestants competed in 4 events of men's doubles at DPR 1,250 points, DPR 1,275 points and DPR 1,550 points, and the mixed doubles at DPR 1,250 points.

The tournament provided an opportunity for athletes to exchange experience and improve their performances, as well as to spread the sports movements among sports lovers in the city in particular and the whole country in general.

At the end of the tournament, the organisers awarded trophies, flags and bonuses to first, second and third-prize winners in each category.
