The Da Nang Reading Culture Festival 2022 officially opened at the General Library of Science, 33 Tran Phu Street, on Tuesday.

The annual event aims to affirm the importance of books in social life, as well as encourage and develop a reading culture in the community.

The festival features a wide range of exciting activities such as a book exhibition, mobile library carts, interactive games with books, talk shows with many prestigious speakers entitled ‘Reading books - Changing lives’, ‘Books - School Friends’ and ‘Book Reading and Choosing Skills’, and arts and cultural exchange programmes.

This year's festival sees the accompany of some publishing units in Viet Nam, including the Viet Nam Book Culture and Knowledge JSC (Vinabook), and the Truong Phuong Investment Development JSC.

The festival runs until December 1, 2022.
