Themed ‘Da Nang Cuisine - Tastes and Memories’, the two-day event featured a wide range of attractive activities about traditional culinary culture.
Visitors to the festival had the opportunity to experience traditional dishes of Da Nang people at 12 display stalls, including Nam O fish sauce, Tuy Loan rice papers, and Tuy Loan's Quang noodles.
In addition, festival-goers could admire 68 photos about the city’s cuisine at a photo exhibition themed ‘Da Nang Food’. The exhibition featured 3 main themes of Da Nang’s cultural and culinary space now and then, the beauty of Da Nang cuisine culture, and the Da Nang food.
The exhibition helped residents and visitors understand more about activities related to culinary culture in Da Nang through new, attractive but humanistic perspectives.
In addition, there was a ceremony to honour artisans and practitioners in recognition of their excellent achievements in the field of intangible cultural heritage in Da Nang, and a ceremony to receive artifacts to express gratitude to individuals for donating documents and artifacts to the museum.
As part of the festival, the Museum of Da Nang hosted a talkshow entitled ‘Quang noodles and stories of culinary culture’ tomorrow morning in order to share and exchange about typical cultural values of Quang cuisine, and the origin and meaning of Quang noodles as well.
One of the most highlight of the festival was the ‘What looks so tasty?’ contest to create video clips on the TikTok social network of the museum.
The contest aimed to create a healthy and useful playground for those who love Da Nang's culinary culture, as well as inspire special love for culinary culture to the community, especially young people.
