The Ngu Hanh Son District authorities have issued a plan to organize the Non Nuoc Stone Carving Contest in 2023 with the theme of ‘Da Nang - Human Love’.

The contest aims to celebrate the 26^th founding anniversary of Ngu Hanh Son District (1997-2023), as well as honour and promote the Non Nuoc stone carving craft, thereby contributing to advertising local images and tourism products to tourists at both home and abroad.

The contest is open to sculptors, artisans, and fine stone craftsmen in Ngu Hanh Son District, members of the Da Nang Fine Arts Association, and stone carving establishments citywide.

Any interested organisations and individuals should register at the Ngu Hanh Son District People’s Committee from December 2, 2022 - January 10, 2023.

The opening ceremony of the contest is slated for March 9, 2023 (on the 18^th day of the second lunar month) as part of the Avalokitesvara Festival 2023.

The organising board will select and award prizes in June 2023, with VND100 million for the first prize, VND80 million for the second prize, VND50 million for the third prize and VND30 million for consolation prizes.
