Da Nang will host the qualifying tournament of the Viet Nam Student Football League 2023 in the Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue area from February 11 - 28, according to the Viet Nam Football Federation (VFF).

The qualifying tournament will see the participation of 13 teams: the University of Technical Education - The University of Da Nang, the University of Economics - The University of Da Nang, the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy - The University of Da Nang, the Da Nang Tourism College, the Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, the Dong A University, the Duy Tan University, the University of Science - the Hue University, the University of Economics - the Hue University, the Viet Nam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology, the FPT Polytechnic College, the Phuong Dong College, and the Mien Trung Industry and Trade College.

The qualifying matches will take place at the football pitches of the Da Nang University of Physical Education and Sports and the National Sports Training Center No.3 in Da Nang.

According to VFF, the qualifying tournaments of the Viet Nam Student Football League 2023, with the participation of 58 universities and colleges nationwide, will take place in five regions: the Southern, the Da Nang - Thua Thien Hue, the Northern, the Southwestern and the South Central regions.

Top 11 teams from 5 regions will advance to final rounds, slated from March 11 to 26, with the home team of the Ho Chi Minh City-based Ton Duc Thang University.

The winning team will receive a cash prize of VND300 million, whilst VND150 million and VND80 million will go to the second and third-placed teams respectively.

A cash prize of VND40 million will be given to a team with impressive style of play.

The first-ever Viet Nam Student Football League aims to create conditions for students to exchange and improve their football skills, as well as promote the development of football among students.
