In general, except for the rainy weather on the third and fourth days of Tet, Da Nang experienced sunny weather in daytime, making convenient for locals and tourists to travel and check-in.

Some Tet check-in locations in the city, including Bach Dang Spring Flower Street, Helio Center, Asia Park and March 29 Park were decorated with colourful flowers, plus many miniatures and mascots bearing the Tet atmosphere, attracting a large number of local residents and tourists to check-in and take pictures to save beautiful moments in the first days of the lunar year.

Tran Thi Anh Nguyet, residing in Hai Chau District, said that this year’s flower street was beautifully decorated. The weather at the beginning of the lunar new year was favorable, so people getting dressed in traditional costumes came here in large numbers, creating a bustling atmosphere full of laughter during Tet.

In addition, public museums, the Marble Mountains, pagodas and cinemas were packed with visitors.

The Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, 78 Le Duan Street, opens a fine arts exhibition entitled ‘Colours of Year of the Cat 2023’ to serve the public throughout Tet with many impressive artworks.

Along with that, the printing of Dong Ho folk paintings and a check-in space for the Lunar New Year at the museum draw the participation of more than 800 visitors.

In addition, to meet people’s demand for cultural and artistic enjoyment, the city's cultural sector organized a variety of cultural and artistic activities before, during and after Tet.

On the evening of January 21 (on Lunar New Year's Eve), the Trung Vuong Theater coordinated with the Son Tra District authorities to organize an arts program themed ‘Spring Festival’ to serve the public.

The 120-minute show featuring a total of 20 performances in three parts, namely Spring of the Country, Spring of Warmth and Spring of Joy brought to the audience emotional moments.

On the second and third days of Tet, artistes of the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theater performed the Tuong excerpts "Luu Kim Dinh" and "Nang Tam" to serve those who love traditional arts. Also, the theatre’s artistes performed at the 2023 Spring Flower Festival.

According to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture and Sports Ha Vy, cultural, artistic and entertainment events during the Lunar New Year 2023 were well-prepared and rich in content and forms.

In order to continue to serve the locals and tourists after Tet and on the weekends, on the evening of the 6th day of tet, the city’s Cinema and Culture Centre plans to organise the final round and awards ceremony for a contest to seek arts talents 2023 at the APEC Sculpture Garden.
