After Tet, most of restaurants specialising in breakfast staples across Da Nang have increased their prices, but Mrs. Vo Thi Thuong's sidewalk eatery next to the railway tracks in Thanh Khe District still maintains unchanged prices. The eatery sells at the request of customers with many different prices, of which the lowest is VND5,000/bowl. The eatery is always crowded with customers because it is delicious, cheap, and clean.

Mrs. Thuong said that she opened a eatery selling ‘bun bo’ (beef rice noodles) and ‘bun mam nem’ (rice vermicelli with anchovy fish sauce) on Ham Nghi Street in Thanh Khe District, then moved to this location for more than 26 years.

Her eatery is open from 6:00am to at noon, and the majority of customers are students and workers.

Mrs. Thuong said that she sells rice vermicelli at the request of customers, usually at the prices of VND15,000 and VND10,000 per bowl, and the lowest is VND5,000 per bowl.

She added that helpers for her eatery are family members and relatives. All the ingredients are bought and made by themselves. “I'd rather sell bowls of rice vermicelli cheaply to have many customers" she noted.
