The Da Nang authorities will organise a ceremony at the campus in front of the Am Phu (Hell Cave) at the Marble Mountains Tourist Area on March 2 to receive a certificate of recognition of ‘ma nhai’ (Inscriptions) as a documentary heritage under the UNESCO Memory of the World for the Asia-Pacific Region Programme.

The event aims to honour, introduce and promote the special values of history, culture, calligraphy and arts of ‘ma nhai’ at the Marble Mountains Tourist Area.

Specifically, a documentary film about the first UNESCO-recognised world heritage of Da Nang will be screened. There will be speeches delivered by the municipal leaders, representatives of the UNESCO office in Viet Nam, a ceremony of awarding a certificate of recognition, and a ‘ma nhai’ tour.

The municipal government directs the Ngu Hanh Son District authorities to work with the city’s Department of Culture and Sports and related units to ensure the success of the forthcoming ceremony, thereby creating an impression among invited guests and people from all walks of life.
