Sponsored by the Sompo Japan Insurance Inc and consulted by conductor Honna Tetsuji of the Viet Nam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO), the programme aimed to mark the 50th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam-Japan diplomatic ties.
It is known that the Japanese Government has given a green light for the Fund for the Community to support non-profit organisations to implement social welfare activities in developing countries and regions based on the proposal of Japanese enterprises. In 2023, Japanese businesses decide to implement social welfare projects in four countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Viet Nam.
Accordingly, the Inter-level Hope School is selected as the only representative of Viet Nam to carry out the music education project. The humane educational project aims to use music to heal wounds and arouse happiness for children becoming orphans during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The project is implemented for 3 years, and music programmes will be held three times a year.

As part of the music education project, the ‘Viet Nam and Japan light up hope together’ programme featured performances of many famous works such as Salut D'amour by famous composer Edward Elgar, Turkish March by musician Mozart, Merry Go Round from the famous movie Howl's Moving Castle, and Under The Sea from the movie The Little Mermaid.
Besides, the school’s students performed some exciting singing performances as a move to express their thanks to guests.

“This is the moment I have been waiting for a long time. I am very impressed with charity programmes and activities for the community initiated by the FPT Corporation, especially the establishment of the Inter-level Hope School for underprivileged children. What I want to convey is not expressed in words, but in music from the heart through tunes of artists from VNSO and the singing of students” conductor Honna Tetsuji said.
Mrs. Truong Thanh Thanh, Director for Corporate Social Responsibility of the FPT Corporation cum Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Hope Fund, highlighted that the project was a precious spiritual gift that the Japanese Government has given to the FPT Corporation in general and the Hope School in particular, thereby helping them firmly on our chosen path of implementing a long-term but hopeful project.
