Mobile app promotes Vietnamese sports delegation at SEA Games 32

The Viet Nam Sports Administration under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has launched the “The thao Viet Nam” (Viet Nam Sports) mobile application to support the promotion of the Vietnamese sports delegation to the upcoming 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) in Cambodia.

The app, which provides official information of the Vietnamese sport sector, is available in both Android and IOS, helping users easily access information of sports activities, rules of particular sports, and achievements of athletes at domestic and international tournaments.

Viet Nam Sports Administration Vice Director Ngo Thinh Huong said that the app is part of the agency’s efforts to catch up with the digital transformation trend and meet the public demands for fast, accurate and mainstream information anytime and anywhere.

Particularly, images and news of the Vietnamese delegation, as well as the competition schedule of each sports, the performance of the athletes and the medal table at the SEA Games 32 will be updated continuously, accurately and quickly on the app, she said.

Earlier, the official outfit collection of the Vietnamese sports delegation in 2023 called “Play like a champion” was introduced, featuring a dominant red and navy tone and is accentuated by five-pointed stars and stylised with dragon scales.

Viet Nam is sending a 1,003-strong sport delegation to the SEA Games 32, about 700 of them athletes, together with coaches, doctors and experts.

SEA Games 32 will be held in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep in Cambodia from May 5 to 17.

At the SEA Games 32, Viet Nam aims for 90-120 gold medals to enter the top three on the medal tally.

As host of SEA Games 31, Viet Nam topped the medal table with 205 golds. Thailand came second with 92 and Indonesia third with 69.
