Khue Trung village communal house festival 2023 on May 4 and 5
On May 4 and 5, the Khue Trung Ward authority in Da Nang's Cam Le District is organising ceremonies at the Hoa Vang Martyrs Cemetery to honour fallen heroes during the resistance wars and ancestors and village founders. Also, the Khue Trung village communal house festival 2023 was organised.
In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremonies, delegates respectfully offer incense, offerings and flowers to martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the struggle against invaders.
Meanwhile, the Khue Trung village communal house festival features a wide range of exciting folk games such as Chinese chess, ‘bit mat bat vit’ (catching ducks while blindfolded), and bag jumping relay race.
The event provides an opportunity for local residents to meet, exchange and review the glorious revolutionary tradition of the nation, as well as to preserve and promote cultural and historical values.
The Hoa Vang Martyrs Cemetery was established in the 19th year of Tu Duc King in 1886 to gather the remains of more than 1,000 martyrs and patriotic compatriots who fell down during the early days of resistance war against France and Spain during the 1858-1860 period.
Hoa Vang Cemetery was recognised as a national-level historic site in 1999 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
