The 2023 mini football tournament for Japanese enterprises operating in Da Nang kicked off on Sunday.

The mini-football tournament attracts 24 male and 6 female teams from 24 Japanese enterprises operating in Da Nang.

Co-organised by the Da Nang Confederation of Labour and the Japanese Business Association in the city, the sports event attracts 24 male and 6 female teams from 24 Japanese enterprises operating in the city.

Notably, the tournament sees the participation of the Japan Football Club whose members are Japanese experts working in the city.

The tournament is taking place from May 7 - 27 at the city’s Labour Culture House.

The organisers will award gold, silver and bronze prizes to outstanding teams. In addition, there will be fair play, best goalkeeper and top goal scorer awards.

Chairman of the municipal Confederation of Labour Nguyen Duy Minh highlighted the significance of the mini football tournament in fostering friendship and love of sports among Vietnamese and Japanese workers, as well as widely and deeply publicising the meaning of the Workers' Month and the Action Month for Labour Safety and Hygiene 2023 in the Japanese business community in Da Nang.
