One of the most anticipated events is the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 which will take place from June 2 - July 8.

Currently, tickets for DIFF 2023 are being sold online to create favourable conditions for local residents and tourists.

Buyers can access https://diff.vn/ or call the hotline 0914155561 to buy and inquire about tickets. Especially, they will enjoy a 5% discount when booking tickets on the website. Prices of ticket range from VND800,000 (US$34) to VND3,000,000.

It is expected that there will be about 5,000 seats in the stands for each performance night. Notably, most of travel agencies have added fireworks products into their tour programmes in the summer.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Deputy Director of the Hai Van Cat International Travel Company, said that at this time, guests ask and learn about fireworks quite a lot. However, the products sold by tour are still slow, so the business splits up into small products such as selling tickets to watch fireworks with tours to the Sun World Ba Na Hill tourist area. It is expected that purchasing power will be higher at the end of June.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, the Chairman of the Sun Group in Central Viet Nam, this year Sun Group initiated the ‘WOW Viet Nam’ campaign to accompany Vietnamese tourism, honor attractive destinations across the country, and promote Viet Nam tourism to the world.

In addition, Sun Group-developed destinations in Da Nang are hosting a series of exciting festivals and events throughout the summer to the end of the year.

Specifically, the ‘Ba Na - Fairy Love’ Lantern Festival is being held at the Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area until September. The food and beer festival B'estival is being organised at the Sun World Ba Na Hills until late August 31.

The Asia Park hosts a number of fascinating activities such as traditional Vietnamese art performances, beer festival, and special DJ programmes every Saturday night.

Following the DIFF 2023, the ‘Enjoy Danang Summer’ festival programme 2023 entitled ‘Wow Da Nang’ will take place from July 28 to August 1.

The festival's activities will be held at the Bien Dong (East Sea) Park and the coastal routes of Hoang Sa, Vo Nguyen Giap, Truong Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh, along with Dang and Tran Hung Dao streets along the both banks of the iconic Han River.

The festival will highlight a wide range of activities such as opening ceremony, Viet Nam International Food Festival, check-in space to experience and create artworks on sand, a beach festival, Da Nang international hot air balloon festival 2023, international open paragliding tournament, flashmob Zumba ‘Wow Da Nang’, tour programme ‘Enjoy Da Nang Summer’, and Blue Ocean Marine Environment protection.

There are also connecting activities such as street dance programme, Han river dance, street music programme, Bai Choi performance, a youth arts playground, folk dance, street dance, hip hop dance, street theater, B'festival food and beer festival 2023, a show themed ‘Land of the sun’, a beauty check-in contest ‘Chill with festival’.

Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association Cao Tri Dung expects that the number of domestic visitors to Da Nang will reach the milestone of 2019, whilst that of international visitors will be 70-80% in 2019 (because the Chinese tourist market has not yet recovered) this summer.

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism Nguyen Xuan Binh also expects that with a series of activities organised continuously during the year, the number of tourists to Da Nang will have a strong recovery.
