Themed 'Embracing Nature', the fourth performance night of the ongoing Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 will take place on Saturday evening, June 24, with the participation of two fireworks teams from the UK and Poland.

Despite the hot weather, fireworks teams from Poland and the UL hastily completed their preparation for upcoming fireworks shows on Saturday.

The teams have carefully prepared for their shows in terms of music, images and effects in a bid to wow both locals and visitors to the city.

According to the organisers, this will be the performance night of the last two teams at DIFF 2023 to select the best team for the final, so both teams are all working hard to win the important ticket in spite of the hot weather.

Mr. Mark Kelsall, leader of the fireworks team from the UK, expressed his joy at returning to Da Nang after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He added that the Pyrotex Fireworx from the UK will tell the audience in Da Nang and fireworks lovers a story called ‘Light up the world’.

“To prepare for the forthcoming performance, we have spent a lot of time trying many different genres of music in order to choose the most suitable songs. At the same time, we are making every effort to create unique and exciting fireworks effects to leave deep impression on the audience" he revealed.

Winning the third prize at DIFF 2017, and the second prize at DIFF 2019, the fireworks team from the UK could not hide their excitement at returning to this year’s competition.

This year’s festival sees the participation of many big-name fireworks teams in the world such as Italy, Australia and Finland. Therefore, the team must work hard to bring the audience a new and unique performance.

“We will use many new and unique techniques to have a chance to get to the final round and to return to Da Nang one more time”, leader Mark Kelsall said.

Meanwhile, the Surex Firma Rodzinna fireworks team from Poland is also one of the familiar fireworks teams in previous DIFFs and was the runner-up at DIFF 2015.

According to Mr. Jaroslaw Suldalewicz, leader of the fireworks team from Poland, his team will tell the audience in Da Nang a story called ‘Fireworks Dragon’.

He explained the reason why his team chose the image of the Dragon is that they know dragon a typical symbol of Eastern culture, and they want to show their authority and strength through the performance.

Members of the Polish fireworks team said they had reviewed the performances of the previous nights, from which they learned many lessons for their team and made appropriate adjustments.

At this year's DIFF, the Polish team prepared an artillery rig for the performance and hoped to help the team get effects from different sides. These effects will help the audience admire and see the overall performance of the team.

"Returning to Da Nang after a long time, we are really impressed by the city’s professional organisation and thorough preparation in comparison with other countries. We promise to bring to an impressive, spectacular and explosive performance for everyone on Saturday night" Mr. Jaroslaw Suldalewicz emphasised.

All team members are very interested in the cuisine of Da Nang in particular and Viet Nam in general because it is very different from Poland.

Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong, Director of the consulting company Global 2000 fireworks commented, the two teams participating in the 4^th competition night were very strong teams with good preparation and good scripts, promising to surprise the audience.

She added all participating teams in DIFF 2023 are all very strong with a long tradition and experience in participating in many national and international fireworks competitions around the world. However, the final result depends on many factors such as the connection in the performance, music, weather, and others.

“We appreciate great efforts and good preparation for the performances by the teams. Each team is determined to win and wants to spread beautiful fireworks images, towards the right theme of this year's DIFF" Ms. Nadia Shakira Wong noted.
