Over 1,500 people perform yoga at Da Nang's East Sea Park
A mass yoga performance, gathering over 1,500 yoga experts and trainers from India, and yoga members from 50 yoga clubs in Da Nang, and provinces of Quang Nam, Quang Ngai and Thua Thien-Hue, took place at the city’s East Sea Park on Sunday afternoon.

Accordingly, the participants performed a mass yoga performance on the music background entitled ‘Da Nang I love’, and implemented traditional Indian candlelight rituals.
The event was hosted by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations, the city branch of the Viet Nam - India Friendship Association, the municipal Yoga Association, and the Embassy of India in Viet Nam.

Speaking at the programme, Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen remarked the mass yoga performance aimed to mark the 51st anniversary of the establishment of the Viet Nam-India diplomatic ties (1972-2023) and celebrate the 9th International Day of Yoga themed ‘One World, One Health’ (June 21).
The event contributed to strengthening solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the people of Da Nang in particular, and Viet Nam in general and the people of India; as well as introducing Indian cultural values in yoga to the people of Da Nang. Additionally, it encouraged the practice of sports, thereby improving the health of local people as well as promoting the dynamic and hospitable image of the city closer to domestic and international tourists.
