The ‘rookies’ from France were crowned champions at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 after having secured a win against the Italian team in a fierce competition on Saturday evening.

The fireworks team from France were very excited to participate in DIFF 2023 for the first time and surprisingly, they held the championship at this event of international stature.

In the joy and excitement of the whole team, Mr. Edouard Gregoire, the leader of team France said: “It was a great surprise for the team to reach the final and when we were champions. The whole team won the championship. I was bursting with happiness. The team is very grateful to have been welcomed and supported so much when participating in DIFF 2023. We also thank the organisers for welcoming us so enthusiastically. We would love to come back to the event’s next editions.”

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen, cum Head of the DIFF 2023 Jury, assessed the quality of the teams participating in this year's DIFF as very good and they having brought the audience beautiful and attractive performances.

It was very difficult for the judges to choose Italy and France for the DIF 2023 championship, as the two teams were both excellent. The performances produced by the two teams satisfied the audience and the excellent French team won the championship. This result shows that DIFF 2023 has proved very successful.

The performance nights during the 2-month DIFF 2023 were very attractive, and the number of audience of the next night was always higher than the previous ones. In particular, the finale was very attractive as it drew a great public attention, so Da Nang saw a significant increase in visitor arrivals.

The quality of this year's competition teams was very good, plus the security work was guaranteed. People enjoyed the fireworks shows with peace of mind. Given the success of DIF2023, the city expects the next editions of this much-awaited festival to be more successful with the participation of more quality fireworks teams.
