When you travel to Da Nang on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, you are invited to join at the 'Harmonious Moonlight' event, a fusion of Vietnamese and South Korean traditions, which captures the true spirit of the full moon festival.

Da Nang International Terminal is bustling with traditional lion dance performances during the Mid-Autumn Festival

Co-hosted by the Da Nang International Terminal and Lotte Phu Khanh Duty Free, the special event for passengers takes place from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm from September 27-29 at the public hall of the terminal, aiming to promote the typical traditional beauty of Viet Nam and South Korea.

The terminal is decorated with many typical symbols of the traditions of the two countries such as the Hoi An ancient houses, traditional Hanok houses, Vietnamese star lanterns and South Korean Korean jade rabbits, bringing a warm and colourful Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere.

On the occasion, managers of the terminal want to turn this place into a new and unique cultural destination in Da Nang during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

There are booths with 4 different themes, vividly recreating traditional activities of the two countries. In particular, a confectionery booth that offers a variety of traditional sweets such as green bean cakes, rice cakes, and sesame seed candies for passengers to savor the flavours of both nations; a ‘to he’ booth (edible toy figurines) where passengers can enjoy the traditional Vietnamese sculpting art form; a captivating paper flower booth featuring the traditional art form of the 300-year-old craft village in Hue; and a mask painting booth that offers the authentic experience of both Vietnamese and South Korean artistic traditions.

The organisers have recreated a number of folk games right at the arrival terminal space to attract the attention of visitors.

Additionally, the Da Nang International Terminal and the Lotte Phu Khanh Duty Free coordinate with the Trung Vuong Theater to offer many art performances, including Korean fan, Vietnamese Cheraw and lion dance performances.

To enhance the experience, participants can also partake in traditional folk games from both countries, such as Korean-style paper tearing, Vietnamese traditional pot smashing, and lantern-making, with the chance to take home meaningful souvenirs.

The 'Harmonious Moonlight' event not only celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival but also helps enhance passenger experience, thereby partly demonstrating the spirit of hospitality, always placing passengers at the center.
