Produced by the Nhan Dan Documentary and Cinema Studio under Nhan Dan (People) Newspaper, the 40-episode documentary film highlights profound and comprehensive meaning about Viet Nam's seas and islands as featuring many precious documents about the country's sovereignty over its Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos in particular, and other sea and islands in general.

Of which, eight episodes are filmed with documents and interviews at the Hoang Sa Exhibition House.

The documentary film contributes to enriching documentary sources and strengthening the work of propaganda to protect the country's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa Archipelago to a large public at home and abroad.

This will be a lively and attractive document in propaganda work. Each episode is an important source of documents for Vietnamese people and international friends to better understand Viet Nam’s sovereignty over its sea and islands.

In his remarks at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hoang Sa District People's Committee Le Phu Nguyen affirmed the significance of the documentary film in raising a strong voice to reaffirm Viet Nam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa Archipelago.

Director of the Hoang Sa Exhibition House Le Tien Cong hoped to receive support from organisations, individuals, compatriots at home and abroad, and international friends to get more information, documents and artifacts proving the country’s sovereignty over seas and islands in general and over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in particular.
