Twenty-one year old Nguyen Thanh Tu has created a TikTok account named ‘Love Da Nang here, wholeheartedly’, and he has till date got more than 24,000 followers and nearly 600,000 likes. Tu said that individuals can earn money on TikTok while building your personal brand on this online platform by creating engaging content. The more engagement your videos get, the more TikTok pays you. TikTok wants users to stick around (to make advertising money), and they will pay creators who help in that mission.

In today's digital landscape, personal branding has become increasingly crucial for individuals to stand out and thrive. Tu said that TikTok has become a platform for creativity, entertainment, and most importantly, a source of income for many individuals. With its massive user base, TikTok has become a lucrative platform for creators to showcase their talent and earn money through influencer marketing.

Creators need at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the previous 30-day period to qualify for many of TikTok's monetization features. Regarding creators, according to their popularity, they are granted several paid partnerships with brands.

Tu is currently an university student in Da Nang. Being a TikTok content creator provides a good source of income to Tu to help him pay for his studies and cover his living expenses.

Sharing about his path to become a TikTok content creator, Tu confided: " My hobbies that are eating, traveling, and picnicking along with my desire to help my friends to learn more about Da Nang inspired me to create a TikTok account named ‘Love Da Nang here, wholeheartedly’ in 2022. I have created engaging contents that introduce beautiful landscapes, plus best restaurants, and eateries in Da Nang to attract attention on social media. I could earn money directly from TikTok through its creator fund after I had some good amount of followers. Therefore, I have paid great attention to creating my TikTok content more engaging”.
