Activities at the 2024 Tet Fair bring the public a "multi-sensory" experience |
During this year’s event, the museum brings to the public many "multi-sensory" experiential activities about the traditional Tet holiday.
Specifically, visitors listens to songs about Tet and Spring at the art programme entitled "Sounds of Tet".
Meanwhile, at the visual experience activity called ‘Colours of the Tet Fair’, fair-goers will have the opportunity to experience a bustling trading atmosphere in a space simulating a traditional Tet market with typical products such as folk cuisine, handicrafts, Tet gifts, ‘ao dai’, and ornamental plants.
Also, there is a children's market for children to sell or exchange items, including school supplies, toys, books, storybooks, and food.
At the workshop ‘Warm smell - taste of Tet’, visitors can experience preparing and enjoying traditional Tet dishes such as the wrapping of 'banh chung' (square glutinous rice cakes) and 'banh tet' (cylindrical glutinous rice cake); and making Tet jams and betel in form of phoenix wings.
As for tactile experience, visitors to the workshop ‘Touching Tet, Welcoming the Golden Dragon’ can make their own Tet crafts and decorative toys bearing the image of the Dragon.
In addition, within the framework of this year's Tet Fair, there are also a number of folk games such as ‘7 Dragon Balls’, campaigning, finding secret letters, jumping jacks, 'bit mat bat de' (catching a goat while blindfolded), and tug of war.
The event runs until January 28.
