On Saturday, the Da Nang-based Tran Phu Senior High School held the Folk Culture Festival 2024, attracting hundreds of school pupils and teachers.

During the festival, pupils participated in many exciting games such as singing and dancing competitions, ‘cuop co’ (capturing the flag), ‘nhay bao bo’ (sack jumping) face painting, and ‘nhay sap’ (dance with bamboo poles).

Also at the event, they also had the opportunity to try all kinds of folk dishes such as ‘banh duc’ (plain rice flan), ‘banh loc’ (steamed clear tapioca cakes in banana leaves), ‘banh nam’ (rice dumpling wrapped in banana leaf), and ‘banh xeo’ (crispy Vietnamese pancakes).

Mr. Nguyen Cuu Huy, Principal of the school, said the purpose of the festival was to create a playground to help pupils develop their own abilities, practice skills in life, and promote the traditional culture of the nation.
