Fireworks to light up Da Nang sky on Lunar New Year's Eve
Authorities in Da Nang have just issued a plan to hold fireworks displays to welcome in Lunar New Year 2024.

Fireworks will light up the sky in Da Nang over three locations in Hai Chau, Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts at 0:00 on February 10 to mark the beginning of the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday 2024.
These venues are a section of Bach Dang Street between its intersection with Binh Minh 6 Street, a vacant land area opposite the Lien Chieu District Administrative Centre, and a vacant land area opposite the Hoa Vang District Administrative Centre.
Nearly 2,000 high-altitude and 120 low-altitude firecrackers will be utilised in the 15-minute fireworks displays. Notably, the FireOne fireworks system and the L100S semi-automatic fireworks system will be applied in the launching of the fireworks.
The Da Nang Department of Culture and Sports will be responsible for monitoring of the implementation of the fireworks plan, and advising the municipal People's Committee regarding mobilising businesses and economic organizations to fund the fireworks shows.
The municipal Military Command will take the main responsibility for organising fireworks, as well as well coordinating with relevant units to ensure the success and safety of the fireworks night.
Local military and police officers will be assigned to conduct patrols at fireworks sites around the clock, and guarantee the safety of the audience during the night.
Relevant departments, branches, localities and units will coordinate together to ensure healthcare, electricity, lighting supply and environmental sanitation so that the fireworks shows can take place successfully.
