To meet the increasing cultural enjoyment demands, many special art programmes will be organised throughout Tet, aiming at spreading a joyful and bustling Tet atmosphere to people.

This year, the Tet Festival and the founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam are close to each other, so the city's cultural and artistic activities at this time will be organised continuously to spread a joyful atmosphere to everyone.

Notable among them will be the 18th large-scale arts programme entitled "Forever Faith in the Party" 2024 which will be held at 8:00pm on January 28 at the city-based Trung Vuong Theater.

Co-organised by the Viet Nam Communist Review, the municipal Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Central Business Sector, and the Oil Group Party Committee, the event will be broadcast live on VTV channels and attended by many Party and State leaders.

It will see the participation of artistes from the Trung Vuong Theatre, soldiers of the municipal Military Command, and children from the local Children's Culture Palace.

All performances will praise the Party, Uncle Ho and special love for the homeland and country, promising to bring to the audience a unique artistic night filled with sacred and proud feelings.

Before fireworks shows on this year's Lunar New Year's Eve which will fall on February 10, artistes from the Trung Vuong Theatre and the Son Tra District Cultural and Sports Centre will bring to the city's audience a special art programme called ‘Spring Cheers’.

Deputy Director of the Trung Vuong Theatre Mai Duy Linh said that this year's Lunar New Year's Eve art programme will feature up to 23 performances. Therefore, the theatre’s artistes and actors have to make great efforts to complete the workload. This is a special art programme so the stage, lighting, props, and costumes are all meticulously prepared.

"With warm, sweet and full melodies, along with the meticulousness in the preparatory works, the music night promises to bring people positive emotions and excitement to welcome in the lunar new year” Mr. Linh remarked.

In addition, a number of mass arts programmes are organised before and during Tet. Included are the art programme entitled ‘Children in Hai Chau District Celebrate Spring 2024’ at the APEC Sculpture Park on the evening of January 26; the Da Nang College of Culture and Arts-organised programme to welcome Spring 2024 at a public park on the eastern bank of the Dragon Bridge on the evening of January 27; the Hai Chau District-organised children's programme themed ‘Dances to welcome in Lunar New Year 2024’ on February 3 and 4; and other folk art performances in Khue My and Hoa Quy wards in Ngu Hanh Son District.

From February 9 - 11, the Da Nang Cinema and Culture Centre will organise ‘bai choi’ (singing while acting as playing cards) performances along the both banks of the Han River.

Deputy Director of the Centre Nguyen Cuong informed that, aside from the abovementioned performances, there will be three other art programme in mid-January. "These programmes have all been upgraded and increased in scale to bring a cheerful and exciting atmosphere to people in the first days of lunar new year" Mr. Cuong said.

In recent days, artistes and actors of the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre have been busy preparing for Tuong programmes to serve the public.

Deputy Director of the Nguyen Hien Dinh Tuong Theatre Nguyen Thanh Phuong said that during this year's Tet, the theater will open the door to the public on the afternoon of the second day of the lunar new year with the Tuong extract "Luu Kim Dinh".

There will be performances of ‘Nua Coi Son Ha’ and ‘Thoai Khanh- Chau Tuan’ Tuong extracts on the third and fourth days of the lunar new year.

On the evening of the third day of Tet, the theatre will organise the general art programme entitled ‘Sac Viet’ (Vietnamese Colours) at the March 29 Park.

Moreover, the theatre will organised Tuong performances in remote mountainous areas to serve people during Tet.

“The theatre’s artistes and actors are working hard to practice day and night in an effort to bring the best quality performances to the public, thereby, contributing to creating a joyful and vibrant atmosphere and meeting the public's cultural enjoyment need during the traditional Tet holiday" Mr. Phuong added.
