Quality of folk art collection and research improved
The Da Nang Folk Arts Association held a meeting on Saturday to review its scientific research and collection activities in 2023 and identify new tasks for 2024.

During the year, the Folk Arts Association completed its proposed plans and tasks. In particular, it successfully organised two scientific seminars, and admitted 5 new members with good qualifications, and research and collection capacity.
Many members actively got involved in writing research articles in newspapers and magazines, giving presentations at conferences and seminars, and participating in scientific research fieldwork and other activities.
In 2023, the Association was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the municipal People's Committee for its outstanding achievements in literary and artistic activities. Three of its members won the Viet Nam Literature and Arts Awards 2023, whilst one member received the municipal-level Literature and Arts Award.
In 2024, the city's Folk Arts Association will continue organising research fieldworks for its members, expected in Thua Thien Hue Province, and opening training courses to improve research quality for members.
Along with that, it plans to to coordinate with the Da Nang Newspaper and the Da Nang Radio and Television Station to promote works, authors and folk arts research activities in the city.
